About Clarksville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located along the Ohio River, Clarksville, IN is a beautiful town found within the Louisville Metro area. With approximately 21,000 residents, it is the oldest American town located within the Northwest Territory. A former base of operations for the American Revolution, Clarksville is also believed to be the birthplace of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Later, the community would be decimated by the Great Flood of 1937, only to re-grow again with the post-WWII housing boom.

Today, Clarksville is a residential community with no shortage of things to see and do. The Colgate Clock found at the former Colgate-Palmolive Plant is the seventh largest clock in the world, and it can be seen from across the river in downtown Louisville. Outdoor recreation lovers will enjoy a trip to the Falls of the Ohio State Park, which is also home to the world’s largest exposed fossil bed from the Devonian period. Fossils include marine and plant life from a prehistoric coral reef dating back over 386 million years.

Shopping is also popular in Clarksville, with the Green Tree Mall and River Falls Mall calling the community home. The Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain originated here, and its original location still remains in the Green Tree Mall. The Clarksville Little Theater and Derby Dinner Playhouse are also found in Clarksville.

It is important to stay weather alert when traveling to or residing in Clarksville. The area experiences four distinct seasons, and the summer is arguably the most extreme. With temperatures often exceeding 90 degrees and high humidity, conditions can become dangerous without the right precautions. Residents should invest in a properly-sized central air conditioner to stay comfortable at home.

As a tradeoff, winters in Clarksville tend to be comfortable compared to other regions in the U.S. Temperatures are mild to cool during the day, and snowfall is minimal. However, overnight conditions often see thermostat readings plummet below freezing. On these days, residents will be relieved to have an efficient gas or electric furnace in place.
