About Hillview, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Hillview is a small city found in Kentucky’s Bullitt County. As of 2010, approximately 8,200 people called Hillview home. For years, the city was primarily a rural farming community, but once it connected to Interstate 65 in 1954, the area grew to become a prominent Louisville suburb. The present city was incorporated in 1974 and now includes large residential subdivisions like Lone Acres, Overdale, and Maryville. Hillview is a mere 15 miles south of Louisville’s historic downtown area, and it borders the communities of Pioneer Village, Fox Chase, and Hunters Hollow.

There are many things to do in Hillview and the Louisville area. The city offers many great recreational areas, including a skate park, outdoor basketball and volleyball, a running track, and a gymnasium. The park located between Russ Hall and the Hillview Community Center offers a picnicking area with tables, charcoal grills, and a covered pavilion, and on a nice spring day the area is perfect for football, flying a kite, or a game of Frisbee. The Hillview Recreation Department also offers youth soccer and volleyball leagues during the spring and fall months.

Residents if Hillview experience four very different seasons throughout the year. Summers are hot and humid with average July temperatures in the upper 80s. However, many days see thermostat readings into the 90s, which could put certain residents at risk of heat-related illnesses. Energy efficient central air conditioning will keep citizens safe regardless of outdoor weather conditions.

After the heat of the summer has burnt off, residents should turn off their central air in favor of their gas or electric furnace. An experienced HVAC technician can ensure that systems are running properly, which is essential during the winter. While it is warmer here than other parts of the U.S., overnight lows can fall below freezing. Residents who fail to properly service their furnace or heat pump may find themselves in a dangerous or costly situation if the system doesn’t work properly when needed.
