About Valley Station, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in southwest Jefferson County, Valley Station is a neighborhood within the Louisville, Kentucky city limits. This former census-designated place merged with the City of Louisville in 2003, and at the time of the merger, nearly 23,000 people called the community home. Valley Station was named for its location in a valley between the Knobs and Muldraugh Hill, and it was originally settled in the mid-19th century. Large scale suburban development took place in the 1950s and 1960s, and despite incorporation into Louisville, Valley High School is still found here.

Louisville Metro is home to many great attractions and places to visit. Some of the most popular tourist destinations include the Kentucky Derby Museum, the Louisville Mega Cavern, Churchill Downs, and the Louisville Slugger Museum. There are several great places to eat right within the Valley Station neighborhood, including MOBY Dick Seafood, Chillburger, and Mark’s Feed Store.

Valley Station is located in a humid subtropical zone, and during the summers, hot and humid conditions are the norm. Average high temperatures in July reach well into the 80s, but hotter conditions are possible. When thermostat readings reach into the 90s and combine with high humidity, Valley Station residents will rely on their central air conditioners to stay cool. Having a reliable HVAC condition on speed dial is also important in the event of a problem.

While some of the most extreme weather conditions occur during the summer, climate controls are also a necessity during the rest of the year. Winters are mild to cool compared to other parts of the U.S., but the area will still see cold snaps. Overnight lows typically fall below freezing during the coldest months of the year. Residents need to invest in a reliable gas or electric furnace to ensure their families stay safe, warm, and comfortable throughout the season.
