About La Grange, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Found in Kentucky’s Oldham County, La Grange  serves as the county seat. Approximately 8,100 residents call the community home, which was founded in 1827. The main claim to fame for La Grange is the presence of the CSX Transportation mainline along Main Street, as the only other U.S. with a street mainline track is Oakland, CA. The Kentucky Department of Corrections also maintains four correctional facilities in La Grange, including the largest prison in the state – the Kentucky State Reformatory.

There are a variety of things to see and do in La Grange. Throughout the year, the city hosts a Farmers and Artisan Market so that local vendors can sell their items. Local shopping is also available at Rainy Day Resale, Gallery 104, and Karen’s Book Barn. History buffs may enjoy a trip to the Oldham County History Center or the La Grange Railroad Museum, while outdoor enthusiast may prefer to spend some time at Falling Rock Park and the Eagle Creek Golf Course. There are also many great restaurants in the community, including the One Nineteen West Main and the Red Pepper Deli Café.

Weather conditions in La Grange vary with the season. Summers tend to be humid and hot, and high temperatures can easily reach into the mid-90s. These muggy and uncomfortable conditions send most residents indoors to escape from the heat. An energy efficient central air conditioner is a necessity at times. HVAC technicians are available to service these systems at a moment’s notice if they are needed to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Winters in the La Grange area are mild or cool, and average daily highs reach into the 40s. Unfortunately, overnight lows can fall below freezing and into the 20s or lower. It is crucial that residents invest in a proper gas or electric furnace to stay warm. In addition to indoor temperature controls, the right heating system will keep utility costs affordable and will prevent expensive pipe work from freeze-related damage.
