About New Albany, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Found within Indiana’s Floyd County, New Albany is found on the Ohio River across from Louisville, KY. As of 2010, approximately 36,500 people called the city home. It is part of the Louisville Metro Area and is bordered by I-265 and the Ohio River. New Albany is home to six elementary schools, two middle schools, and New Albany High School, and higher educational opportunities are available at Indiana University Southeast.

New Albany hosts many events and festivals throughout the year. The Harvest Homecoming Festival is arguably the most popular, and it is held each October. One of the largest events in the estate, visitors from all over Indiana merge into the community during the first weekend of October. The event consists of musical entertainment, vendors, food, and midway rides.

In addition to local festivals, there are plenty of other sights and opportunities for family fun in New Albany. The Regal New Albany Stadium is a great place to check out a new movie, and the River Run Family Waterpark is a popular destination in the summer. Other noteworthy attractions include the Carnegie Center for Art & History, the Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site, and the New Albany Farmers Market.

The climate of New Albany is that of a humid subtropical zone. Summers are hot and humid, and there are many days in the peak of the season where temperatures exceed 90 degrees. Severe thunderstorms are common, and the occasional tornado cannot be ruled out. Residents should consider their climate control needs wisely and invest in the right central air conditioning unit to stay comfortable.

Winters in the region are cool, and daytime highs reach into the 40s. Overnight lows often drop significantly below freezing, and while snowfall is light, dangerous conditions can result. The right gas or electric furnace is a necessity to stay warm throughout the season.
